Indoor Games - Raffle Prize Donations

Branches who are attending this years Indoor Games are reminded that they should bring a raffle prize to the games clearly marked with their Branch name.

They should be handed in to the Secretary on arrival.

Indoor Games - Unauthorised Raffles

Branches are also reminded that the only raffles to be run during the games are those by the host Branch and the central raffle which will also be run by the host Branch.

End of Year Accounts

There are still some Branches (7) who have not yet submitted their accounts for the year ending 31 December 2007.

These Branches are reminded that this is a mandatory requirement to comply with our charitable status and should be submitted by the 31 March 2008 for inclusion in the Financial Statement presented to the AGM of the Association on 16 April.

DLI Association – AGM

The AGM of the Association will take place on Wednesday 16 April 2008 in The Rifles Durham Office commencing at 1400 hrs.

The Agenda will be sent to branches at least 14 days before the date of the meeting and

ALL branches should be represented.

Light Infantry Reunion - 2008

Details of the LI Reunion being held in Shrewsbury 13-15 June 2008 were despatched to all branches on 19 February 2008.

The bidding form for the Reunion Dinner should be sent to The Rifles Durham Office by Friday 2 May 2008.

New book - “In Search of Tom”

An account of this publication is enclosed with this Bulletin.  

The book which will be published in May can be obtained from the author George Rodgers at 10 The Vale, Hartlepool.  TS26 0AA.  

Cheques for £7.99 plus postage and packing of £1.99 (£9.98) should be made payable to “G.W. Rodgers”.

Weddings - Page Boy Uniforms

The Rifles Durham Office has two miniature red uniforms in stock which could be used at weddings.

They would fit two to three year olds and are available for hire
