  Exhibition Material

For a number of years the Friends have produced temporary exhibitions to mark significant anniversaries of events in which the DLI was involved.  These exhibitions usually run through the summer months finishing after the Regimental Reunion in September.

Much of the material is contributed by ex-service personnel and there are strong links with the DLI Association.

Many former Durhams have contributed their reminiscences and lent their photographs.

After the exhibitions are finished the exhibition boards (A1 size) are made available to schools, colleges and libraries for educational purposes.

The Leader of the Exhibition team is Lt Col John Heron, Secretary of the Friends, who can be contacted on 0191 3865496 or email: durham@the-rifles.co.uk or john.r.heron@ntlworld.com who works each year with a team from the Friends to prepare the next year’s exhibition.

In some case A4 size booklets of the exhibition boards have been produced and can be bought through the Friends for £8.00 each.

Working for the Exhibition Team

The Friends are always keen to hear from any former Durham who may have something to contribute to the exhibitions.   If you would like to work as part of the exhibition teams please let us know.  We are interested in knowing what expertise and interests you have, particularly if you would like to be a part of the Exhibition Development Team.
