If
you served in the DLI or if a member of your family served in the Regiment
and you have items (photographs, documents, medals, etc) that would be a
valuable addition to the Regimental collections, then why not make a bequest
in your will to ensure that these items are not simply discarded but are
preserved for the future?
In addition, a number of
people have in recent years decided to make a positive move to review the
arrangements made in their wills and support the work of the Friends. For
example, in 2005 the Friends received a bequest in memory of old DLI soldier
of 1% of an estate and this £3,500 will make a major difference to the work
of the DLI Museum.
If you are interested in
making a bequest to the Friends in your will and would like to discuss it
further please contact the Secretary of the
Friends of the DLI Museum
via
The Rifles
Durham Office
- tel: 0191 3865496
or email:
durham@the-rifles.co.uk
Remember your bequest can
make a major difference to preserving the DLI's history and if you do decide
to act please tell us about any arrangements that you make that may affect
us in the future.
Thank you.
