'The Faithful' Inkerman Dinner Club members have a history of responding to challenge and pride themselves on achieving practical, effective results. 

  

 
   

In August 1994 a suitable headstone for the unmarked grave of one of the 11 DLI VCs (and the winner of the first DLI WW1 VC), Thomas Kenny was unveiled after a successful fund raising campaign.

In 2001 a celebration stone to mark the outstanding bravery of the 11 DLI VC winners was unveiled at the Durham Light Infantry Museum.  This idea developed from the successful Thomas Kenny headstone project and took about eight years to come to fruition.
