The photographs here record two events - the unveiling of the celebration stone in 2001 at the Durham Light Infantry Museum

to mark the outstanding bravery of the 11 DLI VC winners and the VC Stone Commemoration Ceremony on 6th November 2005, an annual event .

The VC Stone was unveiled by Brigadier Bob MacGregor-Oakford(centre in bowler hat). Also present with former DLI Chelsea Pensioners was Capt RW (Dick) Annand VC. Front left is a member of the 68th Regiment of Foot Re-enactment Society.
